Steven A. Cantor, Chairman and Founder, started the Company in November 1997. Mr. Cantor has a track record of successfully developing management teams and building companies. From 1995 to 1997, he was founder and CEO of Steven A. Cantor, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in providing financial, regulatory, operational, marketing and strategic planning services to small businesses. Previously, he founded Vasomedical (NASDAQ: VASO) in 1987, maker of an innovative heart disease device used in medical centers around the world such as The Mayo Clinic.
Carol L. Fitzgerald, CEO, President and Co-Founder, started the Company in November 1997. Ms. Fitzgerald has an extensive business background in sales, marketing and media research with Fortune 500 and start-up companies. She has more than 14 years experience building sales organizations that emphasize health and environmental products. From 1988 to 1997, she was the founder of CEO of Fitzgerald Enterprises, a consulting firm specializing in sales force motivation, marketing communications and business planning advice for small to mid-capitalization companies. Ms. Fitzgerald has worked as marketing consultant for companies such as Fisher-Price and Corning, and has experience as a broadcaster with an NBC affiliate and as a researcher with ASI Market Research.
Hilton Sher, Chief Financial Officer, and Director, has been with the Company since November 1997. Mr. Sher has over 20 years of financial analysis and accounting experience both domestically and internationally, and is a certified public accountant. From 1994 to 1997, he served as the Chief Financial Officer for the ABC Group of Companies, a telecommunications group with over sixty remote locations and sales in excess of $50 million. From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Sher served as the Chief Financial Officer for Sonnenberg, Hoffman and Galombik, one of South Africas most prominent law firms.
Joseph G. Antonio, Chief Information Officers (CIO) has been with the Company since April 2000. Mr. Antonio has more than 20 years experience in developing and managing technology infrastructures and operations. His last position was as first vice president, distributed operations, with MBNA America where he was responsible for providing technology solutions that were integral to the rapid growth of MBNA into the largest independent credit card lender in the world. He has also worked in key technology roles for government and consumer companies including the State of Delaware, F. Schumacher and Company, The Franklin Mint, and Avon Products.
Kathy Palokoff, Vice President Marketing, has been with the Company since August 1998. Ms. Palokoff brings more than 20 years of marketing and brand management experience. From 1988 to 1998, she was an Account Director/Strategic Planner and Public Relations Director for Saatchi & Saatchi, assisting companies such as DuPont, Kodak and Comdisco with their brand building and sales efforts. Additionally, Ms. Palokoff has developed online information systems and products for Kodak and IBM. She has completed coursework for her doctorate in technical communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and currently is examining issues relating to the Internet such as new marketing methods, community-building and design.
